Nelson Mandela south Africa's one time President and freedom fighter, is critically ill. Today makes it his 4th day in hospital. His family today rallies round him.
The hospital is heavy guarded to allow the family privacy with their ailing father,Grand father and Great grand father.
Outside the hospital life goes on for the South -Africans as Nelson Mandela having stepped out of the public eye nearly a decade ago, during which South Africa has battled turbulent political crises and scandals, has less influence on the public.
“The bottom line is that Mr Mandela has not been at the moral and political centre of South Africa for a very long time,” political commentator Eusebius McKaiser said of the former president last seen in public in 2010.
