On friday, a federal High court in Kano, convicted Aminu Sule, son of Jigawa state Governor for false declaration.
The judgement was passed by the Fatu Riman of Kano High court.
Aminu Sule is to forfeit 25 percent of the total money falsely declared.
Aminu Sule, a graduate of mass communication Bayero University Kano has been standing trial for the past 5 months at a federal High Court following his arrest at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport December 12th 2012 en-route to Egypt for medical care of his daughter.
EFCC operatives arrested and arraigned Aminu Sule following a false declaration of ten thousand dollars instead of the fifty thousand dollars on him.
Justice Riman Fatu declared that though the money was not meant for criminal intent as the court was convinced by arguments that the accused was on medical trip to Egypt.
