Due to the heavy down-pour in at Magami-maitarko village in Gusau local governmengt area of Zamfara state a five-year-old girl was found dead and also the rain destroyed not less a hundred houses with many people injured.
According to Sarkin-Fawa some farm produce were also destroyed because of this same downpour that lasted for 10 hours.
He also said that the victims were currently staying with relatives of theirs while those injured were receiving medical treatment at various hospitals.
Sarkin-Fawa, appealed to all tiers of government to provide aid to the victims so as to ensure quick recovery.
Alhaji Atiku Maradun, the Executive Secretary of the state’s Emergency Management Agency (ZEMA), confirmed the incident and also said that the affected areas will be looked into to determine the extent of the destruction as well as ways in assisting the victims of this cruel incident.
