Micura Services Limited and organisers of the maiden Micura soccer Championships have appealed to Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi to witness their ongoing tournament and pick more talented stars for Nigeria ahead of the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
Micura Services Limited  sponsored the 16-team championship that began on Monday at the Nigeria Navy Playground, Ajegunle, Apapa, Lagos, Mike Ubogu said the 16-team Championship tagged “Kick Your Way to Europe” believes Keshi and other bigwigs of the NFF will be marveled by the great talents on parade at the Nigerian Navy Playground, Ajegunle, Apapa, Lagos.
He noted that beside chances of players getting invited to the national team in the nearest future, a technical committee to pick at least four super talented players for trial with top European clubs in the next transfer window has been inaugurated.
Speaking at Monday’s opening ceremony, Ubogu said that Ajegunle remains the home of young football talents after the emergence of the likes of Samson Siasia, Emmanuel Amu-neke, Gabriel Okolosi, Ifeanyi Udeze, Monday Odiaka, amongst others years back.
The sports-loving Micura Services boss who confirmed Saturday September 14 as final date, hinted that the winner after the knockout series will pocket the sum of N100,000 while the second and third placed teams will grab N75,000 and N50,000 respectively
