The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to remove the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Mbu as a first step towards stopping the crisis in the state and country.
The interim chairman of APC in Lagos State, Chief Henry Ajomale, said this while speaking with journalists on Tuesday. According to him, unless Jonathan removed the police commissioner, the federal government would have to face embarrassment from the recent tall order the party gave its National Assembly members at its NEC meeting.
Chief Henry further said the party would no longer fold its arms and allow people’s lives be toyed with on the basis of politics.
He added that if the erring police commissioner was not acting the President’s scripts he would have heeded the calls by Nigerians to remove him.
