The Minister of Finance and the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-iweala,  would on the resumption  of office be  probed over non-release of N29 billion police pension fund by the house of assembly.
The chairman of the House Committee on Pension matters Hon. Ibrahim Bawa Kamba (PDP, Kebbi) disclosed this on Sunday during an interview with reporters.
Kamba said Okonjo-Iweala refused to release the funds after it was discovered that there were problems with the police pension, adding that there was  about N29 billion in the pension account.
He  claimed  that she refused to give power to the director who is in charge of pension but instead moved  the funds to her office.
This amount to two  investigations that the minister will face this year as the House had also mandated its Committee on Finance to scrutinize duty waivers she was said to have  granted some institutions and individuals in government.
