Stephen Keshi Super Eagles coach,has dismissed injuries scare in the team’s camp as unserious. Three members of the Nigeria national team, John Ogu,Ogenyi Onazi and Brown Ideye are doubtful for Wednesday’s 2014 Fifa WorldCup qualifier against Kenya due to injuries picked at Friday’s international friendly against Mexico. The Super Eagles take on the Harambee Stars in Nairobibut may have to make do without the services of the three key men who all played in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Mexico in Houston.
The three players picked up knocks in the game and it is not yet clear if they will recover in time for Wednesday’s game against the Harambee Stars. Head coach of the team, Stephen Keshi confirmed that he would speak to the team’s doctor before reaching a decision over the trio. “I will find out from the team doctor but from what I saw with Brown, Onazi and Ogu, I don’t think it’s serious,” Keshisaid. Nigeria currently lead Group F of the African zone of 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifying on five points from three games.
