The police in Gassol local government area of Taraba State yesterday arrested a young lady, Halima Asar Tsar, of Anguwan Awankyesu for dumping her new-born twins in a neighbour’s toilet.
Mrs Evelin Joseph, whose toilet it was, went to the toilet on that fateful morning and discovered the babies in her toilet and immediately called on the police.On being taken out of the toilet, it was discovered the babies had been stabbed to death.
When visited, Halimat’s father Mr Asar Tsar, in his residence in Mutum Biyu, confirmed that the twins were born prematurely, saying that instead of allowing the babies to undergo incubation, she decided to kill them.
